Tribute to Bag

It’s so hard to say goodbye to say goodbye to yesterday. These are words that I and by extension the office have learnt to live by for the past two weeks. It is said that “true friendship is like sound health; the value of it is seldom known until it is lost”. There is never an easy way to miss a friend, it’s even harder to miss a brother, but how is it that you handle missing someone who is both a friend and a brother.

When people are around we often fail to show them just how much we appreciate them, sometimes we don’t even realise how much they really mean to us. The sad reality is that we come to this realization whenever we lose them for one reason or another. Daily reminders such as the things they use to say constantly remind us that this person is no longer with us. “Bag”, it was never easy to live with you but it’s even harder to live with you as a memory, you were the person we would have loved to hate but we couldn’t, your personality did not allow it. You had the power to make us mad at you while being glad that you were there with us. It is already evident that the Office won’t be the same without you, as you were an integral part of our domino experience, our life experience and for us you were more than just Bag. As life goes on we promise to never forget you our good friend, our brother and even though we have no choice in letting you go to face this road alone, but memories don’t leave like people do, so we will take you everywhere with us, alive in our hearts.

You were here with us on loan, your mark was made on our lives through your ambitions and your willpower, now time has come for you to leave us to be with the Lord we are thankful to Him for giving us a loan in the form of you, you are irreplaceable, as the void you leave in each of our hearts cannot be filled. "Our time on earth is limited, so let us not waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary."

As you take your rest we the ALLIANCE want to say to you that we miss you - friend, we love you – brother and thank you for the memories that you left with us; we will cherish them forever as you rest in the arms of Jesus.
